Is a 19th century building, characterized by its balanced proportions and noble features, which maintains the post-pombaline facade and other decorative elements from that time.
Conserving in this way the initial artistic and architectural quality, whilst offering the amenities and services of a residential sector in one of the best neighbourhoods of Lisbon.
The building’s restoration project took into account its historical and urban context, as well as its original identity and the building forms part of the set of public interest locations of Avenida da Liberdade.
A stunning architecture project signed by
Situated just around the corner from Avenida de Liberdade, centrally located and with a diverse gastronomic and commercial offering, the building nevertheless retains the peacefulness of the intersecting and parallel streets of the neighbourhood, where traditional and modern elements co-exist, and where it is possible to experience real Lisbon life.
The accommodation takes into account a balanced mix between design, the expectations of comfort and functionality and has been conceived for demanding, sophisticated and well-travelled clients. The result is a full sensory experience – whether it is the decoration, the size of the rooms or the discreet use of the most recent technologies.
A special attention has been paid to the quality of the materials used which are of natural origin, solid and long-lasting, as well as the needs to a modern life.
The tableware and cutlery have been nationally produced and specially created for the Barata Salgueiro units. Recognising the importance of relaxation and sleep, the beds are made from only materials and fibres of natural origin.
The windows are one of the elements where the compromise between energy and environmental performance coexists with the use of materials which represent the identity and history of the construction of Lisbon: the frames are made of wood, but with thermally reinforced double glazing; we go well beyond what is required by national legislation, as is the case with acoustic and thermal insulation, energy consumption efficiency, air quality or the use and quality of water.

Inspired by the boulevards of the europe’s major cities
1699 — 1782
Marquês de Pombal ordered the construction of Avenida da Liberdade, in the 18th century, the project was considered as too ambitious.
Today, we understand that he was a visionary.
This is one of the most emblematic streets in Lisbon. It links the historic centre to the new part of the city, and illustrates the spirit of the 21st century, celebrating the identity of the past with the cosmopolitan life of the present: pavements of Portuguese calçada, protected by the treetops, the kiosks with their terraces, the neoclassic theatres, the art nouveau facades, the statues of authors who wrote about the city, the wine bars, the restaurants and international boutiques which coexist with more traditional commercial outlets.
As in the 19th century, when it was referred to as the public promenade and to walk along the street was a social event for families, artists and visiting foreigners, to go down the avenue today in the direction of Baixa until the Tagus river is still a uniquely Lisboan Experience, recalling centuries of history and a style of life of a European capital which is open to the world life.
Primosfera is born from a will to share the experiences of our own lives.
In all our projects we embody everything we have learnt in an intentional and thoughtful manner.
